My journey with PCOS:
I am a daughter of doctors, a sibling to doctors, and married to a non-doctor. I grew up listening to women laboring, as my father is an OBGYN. I knew I wanted to be what my father was, and I did precisely that.
I moved from Mumbai to Thane to Dubai to Abu Dhabi. I worked in government, private hospitals, and clinics while having a part-time coaching practice. I gave up my full-time Specialist Gynecologist job in June 2022 to be a full-time coach helping PCOS women everywhere.
The real me took birth control pills to control dysmenorrhea and PMS. I waited for my husband to be ready for fatherhood for seven years and then started trying for a baby. I tried for two years with three failed IVFs and finally conceived naturally.
I worked throughout my pregnancy, doing 1-2 night shifts per week. I had gestational diabetes and preeclampsia. I had seen it all. So opted for an elective cesarean section because I had no courage to go through labor. My baby turned out to be growth restricted which was missed on antenatal ultrasounds.
I decided to breastfeed my baby while I cried every day due to a painful latch, as she had a small mouth. It finally got better by 4th month when she started to have solids. I wanted to do baby-led weaning but couldn’t as I was not home most of the time. I nursed Mia for two years and 3 months because I didn’t have the heart to say NO to her. The pandemic ensured I stopped.
I took up hypnotherapy one month after her birth because I was losing my shit. I tried life coaching and lost 20 kg of weight.
I became a Life and weight coach, believing that had an answer to everything. I was a Metabolic coach who helped PCOS women lose weight before they got pregnant. I became a Master Certified Life coach in April 2022, and the first thing I did was resign from the most perfect job on earth.
I decided to have my coaching practice where I could help women everywhere [from home] while I could have a routine to raise my 4-year-old daughter.
I am the doctor who not only guides you to become a mother but who stays with you throughout your journey!
